There are places where time seems to follow the rhythm of nature, where each season leaves its mark on the land and every harvest tells a new chapter of an ancient story. Tenuta Casalino was born here, in the heart of Castelnuovo Berardenga, the southern gateway to Chianti Classico, just a few kilometres from Siena and within one of the world’s most renowned territories for vine cultivation.
Its 19 hectares of vineyards stretch across the hills at an altitude of approximately 350 metres, where sunlight, temperature variations and the winds sweeping across the Tuscan countryside accompany every stage of grape ripening. Seventeen hectares are dedicated to Chianti Classico, the most authentic expression of this territory, while two hectares are planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for IGT Toscana — a harmonious dialogue between tradition and contemporary interpretation.
The true richness of Casalino, however, lies in its soil. Galestro and alberese, the rocks that have characterised Chianti Classico for centuries, preserve the memory of an ancient land and bring balance, depth and elegance to the vineyards.
From these soils come wines that tell the story of the landscape from which they originate, expressing the character of each vintage with authenticity.
Every detail of the estate pays tribute to its connection with this land. The oak branch, the symbol of Casalino, pays homage to Jacopo della Quercia, the great 14th-century Sienese sculptor from nearby Querciagrossa. It is a symbol that brings together the strength of nature and the cultural richness of a region where art, history and tradition have been intertwined for centuries.
